Positive Technologies debuts at China's Cyber Security Summit

Positive Technologies participated in the 3rd annual Cyber Security Summit and 6th International Anti-Virus Conference in Tianjin, China. This year's key issue was "Joint Efforts Against Virus Threats to Safeguard Digital Assets".

Kseniia Naumova took the stage to present the cutting edge topic: "How hunting rules can help in advanced threat detection: new take on an old paradigm in network security".

By combining behavioral indicators, it is possible to discover highly polymorphic malware and previously unseen malware samples, cutting time to detect and contain incidents in the network.

"This area is still relatively new and has strong potential to detect threats in the network, where they spread the fastest. I shared a practical approach for creating network hunting rules and their correlations — from making hypotheses about network traffic anomalies to finding new, previously unknown threats during monitoring."
