Software description
KingSCADA is an Interactive Graphical SCADA System. It is a state of the art SCADA system for monitoring and controlling industrial processes.
Vulnerability description
The specialists of the Positive Research center have detected an XML External Entities Resolution vulnerability in KingSCADA.
The vulnerability is possible due to unsafe parsing of XML external entities. If an attacker manages to make a victim open a project that contains specially crafted XML, KingSCADA will automatically send the contents of local or remote resource to the attacker's server. It also makes possible to conduct denial of service attacks.
